Student Voice

Our students are our most important people and therefore it is vital that they feel part of the academy and that their views are listened to and acted upon.

There are various opportunities for pupils to elect their own representatives and also to take part in focus groups and forums and our Head Girl and Head Boy and their deputies run various workshops.

The academy has an active student council. All pupils are encouraged to be part of the day-to-day decision making process of the academy and help to build a sense of professionalism and nurture confidence, as well as developing the quality of the curriculum and learning.

The academy promotes student leader accreditation and works with SSAT to involve pupils in having a voice in the real and tangible effects young people can have on their own and other’s learning.
