Thank you to those who attended last night’s parent forum. This was a really positive meeting and I was delighted to see so many parents – I’m looking forward to continuing these forums and posting regular updates on the blog.
During the forum last night, I shared with parents the school’s Post Ofsted Action Plan which has been praised by Ofsted and is designed to remove the school from the Special Measures category as soon as possible and become the school of choice locally. I am confident that we can achieve this with a relentless emphasis on teaching, learning, student outcomes, training, improving the site and the school environment.
The plan aims to:
- Put ‘improving teaching quality’ at the heart of development – there are no surprises here it has always been my key focus
- Ensure all staff have rigorous performance management based on good student outcomes and CPD training to support this
- Ensure effective networks with local schools and the local authority to share best practice and subject knowledge expertise.
I want to again take this opportunity to reinforce my commitment to this school and that I will do everything in my power to ensure this school becomes a school which the entire community will be proud to be a part of.
