On Thursday 19th May, a group of 28 year 9 and 10 students travelled to see a matinee performance of An Inspector Calls at the Lowry Theatre in Salford, as part of their GCSE English studies. The year 10 students have been studying this text in their English lessons and found it really useful to see it actually performed on stage. The year 9 students will study this text next year, so this was useful preparation for them. The students were gripped by such a dramatic performance and several commented on how effective the staging and special effects were.
Students will now continue to discuss and study the play during lessons and apply their knowledge from the live performance to their studies. Overall the students had a fantastic day and really enjoyed seeing the play come to life!
