The Whitehaven Academy on the radio – BBC Micro Bit

Every pupil in the country in Year 7 will receive a BBC Micro Bit, which is a system designed by the BBC for use in computer education.

Students in The Whitehaven Academy have already started using the micro bit.
Mike Zeller from BBC Radio Cumbria recently paid us a visit, talked to students and staff about the benefits of using the Micro Bit.

Please click on the link below if you would like to listen to their broadcast on the BBC breakfast show. Forward the slider to 5 minutes to 8am or 1.25mins into the show. Students James Jennings, Zak Garrs and Lauren Mahone all Year 7 did a marvellous job.
