Well done to John Stoker, 16, and Jarred Watson, 12, St John Ambulance Cadets who were welcomed to Buckingham Palace on 5 November by HRH Princess Anne, who is a patron of St John Ambulance, for the charity’s annual Young Achievers’ Reception.
The event honoured St John Ambulance Badgers, Cadets, and Young Carers who have all made outstanding contributions during their time as young volunteers with the organisation.
Each young person was given the honour of meeting HRH The Princess Royal – who has the official title of Commandant in Chief, Youth for St John Ambulance – and had the opportunity to discuss their experiences as a volunteer during the reception.
John was nominated as a young carer for both of his parents who are disabled. John said: ‘I’ve grown up just doing what I do so I don’t see it as special. Full story in the Cumbria Crack.
