Time to rock again!

On Friday 5th June our Rock Challenge team will be heading to Grimsby for the Rock Challenge Northern Finals. This follows our success in the April heats in Carlisle.

The annual Rock Challenge involves students from schools across the globe competing against each other with a 5-8 minute dance or drama performance based on a theme and moral tale of their choice. The event has been running since 1999 and its aim is to encourage young people to enjoy a healthy life without abusing drugs, alcohol or tobacco. Students can create whatever set, props, costumes, hair and make-up, lighting, choreography, drama, and soundtrack that they wish for their theme and they have the opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of people in a professional stage and production environment.

The National Final will be held at Milton Keynes Theatre on Monday 6th July. The winning school from the Northern Open Final and the three highest placing schools in the Northern Premier Final will qualify to the National Final to compete against teams from Scotland and the South of England.

The best of luck to our team!
