A Level results for The Whitehaven Academy

A Level results day is always full of emotion for students, parents and staff but our Post-16 students are celebrating today at The Whitehaven Academy after achieving some fantastic results.

Acting Principal Jacki Smith says: “It has been brilliant to see a lot of very happy students whose results today reflect the high level of effort they put into their studies and the support they have received from their teachers.”

There have been some outstanding individual performances and we are delighted that this year the academy has seen its best ever performance by a single student, Tristan Doyle who achieved four grade A* and one grade A and will be going to the University College London to study Natural Sciences.

Other students who have fulfilled their ambitions include Charlotte Cassie, Kate Pearson and Sam Bayliss.  Charlotte is very happy with her A* and three B grades and is taking up a place at Manchester University to study Biology.  Kate achieved three A grades and a B and is also off to Manchester but to study English Literature.  Sam who studied Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Physics is delighted to be going to his first choice university of Northumbria to study Civil Engineering.

Well done and congratulations to all of our students, we wish them all the best for a very happy and successful future.
